چکیده
Forest roads are essential for adequate forest management and environmental protection. They enable tourism recreation activity, while at the same time playing a very important role in fire When open to local traffic, they significantly supplement public traffic networks. Costs of constructing permanent forested areas considerable, because need have bearing capacity. predominantly constructed using natural or anthropogenic aggregate stabilised mechanically chemically. A tangible parameter verifying proper construction road structure is provided by its capacity, i.e. capacity pavement carry loads generated without excessive strains hindering normal use reducing durability. Some networks also as temporary composed cheaper aggregates. It seems reasonable assume different standards such than roads. The aim studies presented this paper was develop various technologies. The adopted research hypothesis assumes that each analysed technologies characterised required during inspections. An example may be so-called geotextile mattress crushed stone on wetland soils. developing standards, analyses included predicted intensity, assumed operation before rehabilitation required, soil conditions type material.Bearing testing sections assessed based values strain moduli calculated from static plate load tests (VSS). As result, were obtained structures aggregates chemical stabilisers well geotextiles potentially facilitating reduction layer thickness deterioration

Bearing Capacity of Shallow Foundations on Cohesionless Soils: A Random Forest Based Approach
Determining the ultimate bearing capacity (UBC) is vital for design of shallow foundations. Recently, soft computing methods (i.e. artificial neural networks and support vector machines) have been used for this purpose. In this paper, Random Forest (RF) is utilized as a tree-based ensemble classifier for predicting the UBC of shallow foundations on cohesionless soils. The inputs of model are wi...
متن کاملComparision of Methods for Determining Bearing Capacity of Piles Using Standard Penetration Test (SPT) Data
In recent years, determining bearing capacity of piles from in-situ testing data as a complement to static and dynamic analysis has been used by geotechnical engineers. In this paper, different approaches for estimating bearing capacity of piles from SPT data are studied and compared. A new method based on N value from SPT is presented. Data averaging,
failure zone and plunging failure of p...
متن کاملThe use of a Rotary Asphalt Broom to Groom Aggregate Forest Roads
Due to the dispersed nature of forestry operations in much of the world, only a subset of a given forest road network are used in any year. Specifically, spur roads are generally only used when harvesting operations are adjacent to roadways; otherwise, they remain unused or only have infrequent administrative traffic. During these periods of light use, a substantial amount of organic litter may...
متن کاملSpatial and Temporal Patterns in Erosion from Forest Roads
Erosion from forest roads is an important contribution to the sediment budget of many forested basins, particularly over short time scales. Sediment production from 74 road segments was measured over three years to examine how road slope, segment length, cutslope height, and soil texture affect sediment production and how these relationships change with time. In the first year, differences in s...
